Julie Shaheen, the principal and lead designer for Stanford Designs, boasts over 20 years of experience in the interior design field. Born and raised in Annapolis, Maryland, her early exposure to the water and stunning architecture fueled a lifelong passion that she has dedicated her career to perfecting.
Currently headquartered in the vibrant Charleston area, Julie draws inspiration from the coastal surroundings, infusing her designs with a seamless blend of water, seafood, and exquisite architecture. This coastal influence is a hallmark of her work, crafting spaces that exude both luxury and warmth, inviting clients into an elevated yet comfortable atmosphere.
Julie's personal life adds a unique dimension to her professional expertise. Juggling two homes, one in Virginia and the other in Charleston, has given her a nuanced understanding of managing multiple residences. This firsthand experience uniquely positions her to support clients with second homes or investment properties outside of their primary city.
Away from the design studio, Julie values the time spent with her husband, four boys, and their four-legged companion, Boston, infusing her designs with a family-oriented touch.
